Solution to the low oil pressure fault of Carter excavator 320c During the use of the excavator, many drivers reported symptoms of low oil pressure in the excavator.
Symptoms of the excavator: The oil pressure of the excavator is insufficient, and the crankshaft and bearings, cylinder sleeves and pistons will be aggravated by poor lubrication. Cause analysis:
1. Insufficient oil volume
2. The oil pump does not rotate
3. The oil radiator leaks oil
4. The pressure sensor fails or the oil channel is blocked
5. The oil brand is not suitable Solution:
1 Increase the oil volume,
2 Disassemble and check the oil pump to check its wear condition
3 Repair the oil radiator
4 Repair the pressure sensor
5 Check whether the recent oil brand matches your machine.
Case: Not long ago, a customer had the fault of “low excavator oil pressure”.
We brought the oil pressure gauge and oil quality analyzer to the owner’s construction site in Guizhou, and used the oil quality analyzer to test the quality of the oil.
We found that the viscosity and degree of contamination of the oil met the requirements. We connected the oil pressure gauge and measured the oil pressure at low speed and high speed respectively.
We found that the oil pressure was lower than 0.15MPa. Under normal circumstances, the oil pressure is 0.15MPa at low speed and 0.6MPa at high speed.
This shows that the oil pressure is low and cannot reach the normal pressure.
We checked the bypass valve on the oil filter seat according to the principle of from simple to complex,
from outside to inside. After disassembling it, we found that the seal between the steel ball and the
valve seat mating surface was not tight, causing oil leakage and pressure reduction. By grinding the
sealing surface, restoring its sealing performance, adjusting the pressure to the standard value, the oil
pressure warning light went out, indicating that the machine has returned to normal and the fault has
been resolved.
