Removal
1.Disconnect the battery cable negative terminal.
2.Drain the engine coolant.
3.Remove the cab.(Non-tilt cab model only) Refer to “FRAME AND CAB”Section 2.
4.Remove the fan shroud.
·Remove reservoir tank hose and fan shroud.
5.Removethefanbelt.
Remove adjust plate lock bolt
·
- Loosen generator fixingbolt thenremove fan belt.
6.Remove the support rubber
·Remove two fixing nuts at the crossmember side.
- Separatethegenerator from the engine.
- Remove thesupport rubbernut from engine foot side.
- Remove thesupportrubber while raising the engine.
List of Tightening Torques
nstallation
1.Installthe support rubber.
- Install the support rubber while raisingtheengine.
- Tightenthefixing nuts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Engine foot side: 82 N·m(8.4 kg·m/61 Ib-ft)
Crossmember side:48N·m(4.9 kg·m/351b·ft)
2.Install the AC generator drive belt.
Refer to “Drive Belt”in Section 6B,Engine Cooling.
3.Install the fan shroud.
- Installthefan shroud and clip the reservoir tank hose.
4.Install the cab.(Non-tilt cab model only) Refer to “FRAME AND CAB”Section 2.
5.Refill the engine coolant.
6.Connect the battery cable negative terminal.
