How to adjust the fuel supply timing of Deutz engine 1013 series？

For Deutz engine 1013 series, the method of adjusting the fuel supply timing is as follows: Open the

inspection window on the side of the fuel injection pump and find the tappet corresponding to the plunger

to be adjusted; Loosen the timing screw locking nut on the tappet; If the timing is delayed, screw out the

timing screw a little, tighten it with the locking nut and try again; If the timing is advanced, screw in the

timing screw a little, tighten it with the locking nut and try again (this situation is rare); After each

adjustment, carefully turn the cam slowly to make the plunger rise to the highest point. Then, pry up the

tail of the plunger with a screwdriver and measure the gap between the tail of the plunger and the head of

the timing screw with a thickness gauge (feeler gauge). This gap must not be less than 0.4mm to prevent

the plunger from hitting the oil outlet valve seat and damaging the two sets of mating parts. If the timing

requirements can only be met if the gap is less than 0.4mm, a new plunger mating part must be replaced.
