When a new diesel engine (i.e., new equipment) is put into operation for the first time, the following aspects should be noted:

① Regardless of the length of time the diesel engine has been running, it is recommended to change the engine oil and oil filter before putting it into formal use. This is because the brand of test oil used by the equipment manufacturer may not be consistent with the brand of oil used by the user. To avoid mixing different brands of oil, the engine oil and oil filter element (including bypass oil filter element or centrifugal filter element, etc.) should be changed before the new equipment is put into use for the first time.
② Before starting the diesel engine, turn it several times with a pry bar. Only start the diesel engine after confirming that there are no abnormalities.
③ When starting the diesel engine, do not start it successfully on the first try. Let the starter motor drive the diesel engine to idle 2-3 times, each time for 5-6 seconds. Only start the diesel engine after confirming that there are no abnormalities.

④ After starting the diesel engine, do not immediately run it at high speed. Allow it to idle (n=700~800r/min) for at least 5-10 minutes. During this period, carefully check the seals and tightness of all parts of the diesel engine. If any abnormalities are found, troubleshoot them.
⑤ After the diesel engine is officially put into operation, during the break-in period, strictly follow the instructions in the user manual for rigorous maintenance and break-in operation.
