1. Calibrate Cooling Fan Speed
A. Connect the electronic service tool to the diagnostic connector.
B. Select the “Service” tab and then select “Calibrations”. Begin “Fan Calibration”. Meet the required conditions to continue calibration. Follow the directions provided on the electronic service tool.
C. Use tool (A), tool (B), and software license, NETG5044, to measure the actual fan speed.
Result: The actual fan speed does not match the fan speed on the electronic service tool.
Repair: Adjust the current to change the fan speed.
Clear all recorded diagnostic codes using the electronic service tool.
Confirm the fault is resolved after repair.
Result: The actual fan speed matches the fan speed on the electronic service tool.
Press the “Next” button.
Complete the calibration following the instructions on the electronic service tool.
